For more information visit the Delaware State Forest website or Facebook page.

Geography:

Delaware State Forest stretches across the Pocono Plateau, a previously Glaciated region on Pennsylvania. Many glacial lakes carved out 15,000 years ago give this state forest a unique resource that is rich in biodiversity. Though relatively high in elevation this forest does not have a mountainous topography. Rolling hills with exposed rock formations are common with a high density of wetlands throughout.

Recreation:

Opportunities to enjoy the natural world are easy to find in Delaware State Forest. Nearly 200 miles of shared-use trails are spread across the district. Pecks Pond, Lake Minisink, White Deer Lake, Lily Pond, and Little Mud Pond are serene locations for paddling or fishing. Bushkill Creek runs through state forest offering year-round fishing access. The Burnt Mills and Maple Run ATV trails are within close proximity to several campsites.

For trail maps visit the Delaware State Forest Map webpage.
